LOVE NOTES is a platform for creating and holding significant memories; its an archive that functions like a time capsule, personal diary, events journal, scrapbook, photo album, yearbook and memorial library all rolled into one.
Use Love Notes to archive your important photos, videos, audio recordings and texts. Use it to honor an individual you want to memorialize or use the platform to collect your shared memories, offer advice and wisdom to your family, and build a history of meaningful events with significant people in your life. For your children, create a loving legacy for them as you live your life and build memories together. Honor your spouse, your parents, or any other relatives or friends as you create a lasting archive of your relationships (especially valuable after they, or you, have passed away).

How is it different from Facebook, Google Photos or Texting?

In our digital age this overwhelming amount of information can be difficult to manage. Think of how a loved one would have to sift through all this to find the “gems of memories” of your shared experiences. Love Notes is focused on collecting the items that are the most important and archiving them in a centralized place that honors your relationship. Like an art gallery, Love Notes helps you curate the gems and present them in an appropriate context accessible to your loved ones.
Why is there a membership fee?
Love Notes charges a modest monthly subcscription fee to cover operational, enhancement development and storage fees for your digital content. This allows us to keep the interface free of distracting content like relentless advertisement and fundraising pleas. We don’t sell your information. This model best honors the spirit of reverence and connected-ness that is at the core intention of our service. Your privacy during the Love Notes experience is of the highest value to us.
How do my loved one’s get access to my Love Notes content?
When you set up your account, you will designate lists of “Family Members” (with ‘read only’ access) and “Stewards” (like a spouse, god parent, sibling, or best friend) who will be notified should something happen to you. They will make sure the access keys to your “time capsule” accounts get to your children and other designated recipients.
Preserve memories
Can my children add their own content to my account?
Yes. The app offers a “Family Plan” which allows you to designate additional “contributors” who can post content as well to your time capsule. This enables the whole family to contribute their most meaningful moments to the family’s time capsule.
Will I have access to my time capsule account if I stop my membership?
Yes, once you build it, its yours to bequeath to your family and designated friends/community members. Love Notes will hold your content for posterity (one of its main functions is to act as a protected archive) in “storage mode” (coming soon). We will have a “Reader” application that will let you view your time capsule online via web browser or on your phone/pad app. even when your membership is closed. Active membership will be required to enable you to add/edit content. You can also download your time capsule content anytime.
How long will my time capsule account be preserved and remain accessible to my descendants?
Our mission is to provide your Love Notes legacy to future generations so this is our foundational pledge. As digital media platforms change we will transfer your content to the new systems and update to contemporary access technologies. As we cannot now predict the future we can’t explain exactly how that interface will grow and change. But we know that humans will continue to share information through image, audio and text, so we will update to the new media formats of the future as they become ubiquitous. You will always have an option to download the time capsule content if you wish to store it yourself.
